Front axle part Q - and Seafoam!

Hey gents, i recently bought front axles from Napa for my 99 5speed, and on the longer of the two axles (pass side i think?) there was a little silver disc that slides off. Because i was an idiot and left the axles in my trunk for a day too long, that disc got bent.

I believe the disk is a "dust shield", the diagrams for the axles are very crowded but it looked like thats the one. Its silver, sorta cup shaped, and looks like a $1 part. Since mine is bent, where can i buy a new one? Alternativly, can i simply reuse the one that is likely on my current axle?

Second Q:
I want to seafoam my engine. Within a month or two ill be doing the 00vi swap - should i wait until after that is done, or just do it now before the swap? Any recomendations?

Thanks guys!

Heres a pic of the ring in question - its the silver bit all the way on the left. Can anyone identify what it actually is, if the OEM axle has it and is it reusable, or where one can buy this part?

The piece you are wondering about is a shield to protect the the oil seal from road debris. The oem axles have them. I don't know about buying it separate, though. If you have the old axle, you can take it off of there. The section where it mounts is a specific size dictated by Nissan, so you can swap it.

That ring probably acts as a dust shield, protecting the transmission seal.

The only thing that should be in your crank case is motor oil. They contain plenty of detergents to keep your engine clean. Everything else is just clever marketing. $$$

Nada on the seafoam. TC-W3? Yeah, plus a blast on the highway to make your fuel injectors spray h-a-r-d. Your car will be really good to go after that.
