rear strut few questions

Just installed KYB-GR2 struts all around. They all went on with no problems but just had a couple of questions on the rears. I forgot one of those orange paper thin gaskets or whatever it is on one of the sides. Will that affect anything? Also on the front I know the strut mount has to be a certain way pointing out which I got no problem but is there a certain way it needs to be on the rear? For example on the left side the end of the spring is facing out while on the right side the end of the spring is facing in. Hopefully that makes sense. Is there a certain position the spring should be in?

Thanks

The gasket it there to stop water from getting into the car.
The rear does not need to be clocked.

Ok cool thank you! I'm in AZ so won't worry about adding that gasket.
