Question about passerger side Axles. Are Auto/Manual ones different sizes or spines?

sizes meaning where they put the cotter pin Hole. My cotter pin hole is MAD far away from the cotter pin and nut/castle cap. Or maybe they gave me an LSD one by accident? I thought it was just the driver said that was different? What can I say... It is advanced auto either they suck or the dudes that put the part numbers in at HQ mixed up the axles lol

I think I have the wrong axle because the nut keeps loosing no matter what I do. Even tried putting the nissan carbon steel pins and bent them inwards and they snapped. I don't know why the nut keeps loosing. Also there is slightly more play than there needs to be, Even when I tighten the nut there is still a little play.

This all started like 6 months ago and than my wheel bearing went bad. I don't know what happened first but the wheel bearing started to **** out and than I just replaced both now the axle keeps getting lose and it makes me think it is the axle or maybe the hub is bad, either way. It is gonna make my wheel bearing go again and I really can't afford another one.

The passenger axles are the same regardless of trans offered in an A32. Did you buy a re manufactured or new aftermarket shaft?

Some time over the years Nissan decided to do away with the castle nut style retainer. I'd get one of those. That should keep the nut from backing off.

They probably put it together wrong. I had a bad shaft from Advance as well. It was about 1" too short. Do you have an old axle to compare it to?

You are torquing the nut to be between 175 and 230 foot pounds, right?

nope. Trashed it right after. I know. I should of. Infact nothing was wrong with the old one, I just replaced it cause a slight tear in the boot and well the bearing was bad, so I firgured replacing them both.

I am starting to think my uncle pressed or put the bearing wrong when he pressed it, but it was fine against the retainer rings and everything.

yes, plus once you go past 200ftlb it doesn't matter. Trust me on this.

over tightening(like with an airgun) if possible wouldn't cause it to loosen up. Under tightening will. I've done enough in my life were even if you don't tighten them fully sometimes they don't even loosen. It is weird.

I also put 2 washers in there this time to hopefully put the nut/castle retainer more towards the cotter pin hole but I need like 4-5 washers and I am not doing that lol

When I changed my axles, I looked at the space between the castle nut and the cotter pin and wondered what was going on. But mine have stayed tight.

I remembered a thread from about 3 months ago where someone was having this problem. I couldn't remember if the problem was resolved, so I searched and found it. Surprise! It was your thread. Sorry to hear the problem is still plaguing you.
