P1445/1447
A while ago I got a P1445 code. I didn't do any real testing, just found a used evap canister purge volume control valve on ebay, and popped it on. Within a few miles the CEL came back on, but this time it was P1447. When I put the old valve back on and cleared the code, it was P1445 again.
I hooked each of them up to the connector and turned the ignition on and off, and I couldn't see the plunger move on either one. The old valve kind of buzzed a little, and the replacement was silent.
I think the replacement is bad too. Anyone see another explanation?
And has anyone found these online? I can't find one on rockauto, amazon, kragen or o'reilly. It seems like everyone has a different name for it. Courtesy has one here that they call "boost control valve" http://www.courtesyparts.com/14920-v...784_1814_1817&, but it doesn't look like mine...

I pulled one from a Junk yard and it worked fine. BUT what you can do is check the air flow continuity. I know what you mean about trying to see it move. Mine was blocked with charcoal from the vapor canister and over time it stuck in one mode.

I couldn't see into the small port. But yeah junkyard one of them and try that. It was dirt cheap, less than 10 bucks here in Texas
By the way this was just recent, I had p1400, p1445, and p1447. I finally have been code free for about 400 miles now for the first time in about 3 years.
