Thermostat changed, small amount of fluid on starter. Now it won't fire up. HELP!!!

Changed it out and did notice a small amount of antifreeze got on my alternator. Put everything back together and now shes making the bad starter click. Let me take that back. Everything is back where it should be but the belt tensioner. Had to lower it almost flush with it's bracket to get my wrench on the furthest thermo bolt. Now that son of a ***** is jammed. And my battery is good is good by the way. Has this happened to anyone?

You got antifreeze on the starter? You sure you don't mean the alternator?

Starter is on the on right side while facing the engine, alternator is on the left while facing the engine, why does ur starter have fluid on it? Or yu mean starter?

A bad alternator will never not let your car tart, did you jump start it? Maybe you need a new battery

No need to remove your coolant passages tubes for a thermostat swap.
Remove starter and dry it then jump start it out of the car.
