turning sound... help!

My car recenly started making a sound when turning right at slow speeds(like in a parking lot). The sound is exactly like the sound that comes out when you bring a microphone to close to a speaker. The loud wining sound. It only last for a couple of secs at most, and happens like 3 times a week. Any ideas?

Maybe a ripped CV boot? Turn the wheel all the way to the left and look behind the wheel.

its not the strut bearing....it doesn't make a whining noise...its more of a clunking/grinding noise...i know i need knew ones in mine ....if its like a humming type noise i would guess a wheel bearing...thats the only thing i can think of that makes a (whining) noise...cv joint is more of a ticking noise......

I doubt it is the CV Boot or joint. I had mine replaced 3 monthes ago and actually just did the whole axle and I am still getting the noise you are describing. I think it might have to do with lowering the car is yours lowered?

No my car is not lowered yet. You guys have to know the noice I'm decribing, when you have a microphone hooked up to a stereo and you put it too close to the speaker, it gives you the wining feedback? For the longest time I thought that my car speakers were making the sound. If the problem is anything you all mentioned already, is it very serious, should I get it fixed immediately? Thanks for all the replies.

Yeah, definately check the brakes. I'll bet that you find the wear indicators are rubbing on the rotors.
