Hey all, I have a 1995 nissan maxima, and want to install an aftermarket intake system in it. My idea is to keep the air resonator on and connect the pipe with the filter on it. (I read on a post that your car is more responsive that way.) My question is would it be easier to install an SRI over a CAI as the pipe is much shorter? Or is there a real potential that with an SRI my car will be sucking in hot air from the engine? Any support is helpful thanks!

 

intakes dont do much on these cars apart from making them sound more aggressive. As for SRI vs CAI go with whichever is cheaper and easier. The end result will be the same

 

I have a SRI with an ebay heat shield. It sounds mean as hell lol. Some gains up top too but dont ask me to quantify that :P

CAI will require cutting a 3" hole behind the battery to run the piping through the fender

The SRI is definitely easier to install. Hears a recent thread with alot of good info/dyno proven gains.
