12v car power adapter

How would I go about fixing cigarette lighter?
When I bought the car it never worked. Months ago I took out the adapter. I put a new fuse in it and still no go. Could someone link me to a car power adapter that would fit my 98 max, preferably ebay but amazon will do too.
Thanks

If your lighter socket isn't working then an adapter that plugs in to it isn't going to work

Have you taken the shifter trim out to see if the socket is even plugged up?

The only wire that plugs into that socket attaches behind the shifter trim.

You need to figure out why its not working before using an adapter. be cause if the harness doesn't have power then an adapter hooked up isn't going to work

The cigarette lighters have a built in fuse that can blow, meaning you have to replace the socket. So if you have 12 volts on the wire, the socket is bad.
