SO I found a pretty cool set of tails. They are for a 96 max though. Would fit my 99? I have no problem with any rewiring or slight mods (hole drilling ect)

You would need a 95-96 trunk.

 

damn. I was hoping it was just a couple hole or such. not the whole deck lid was different.

 

I've never physically checked to be honest. For all I know they may just bolt up, might just be the body line won't match up cause the 95-96 tails have the inward curvature to match that years lid versus the flat 97-99 lid/tails.

 

Looks like the angle of the inner tails is different enough to make it look weird when the "wrong" inners get placed in.

 

Does look close. Never the less I think the guy sold them already.
