Cranks all day, no start...alarm related?

I had my car sitting for about a month due to lower arm bar broken, finally got it replaced, jump started the car and it fired up. I test drove it around my apartment complex, then brought it back an parked it. The power was almost dead due to the battery needing a good charge. I tried to rejump start it, but it would only crank. When I test drove it around my apt complex, the security light was on consistantly. I've seen many threads regarding the crank senson, CPS, fuel pump etc I recently replaced the starter (duh it cranks) Fuel pump was upgraded to Walbro 255 during turbo install.

Is there any way to reset the alarm or is this even relevant??

Much help needed and thanks!

Seeing as to how you have a 1999 Maxima, if the security led is on while you are cranking the engine, it won't start. You are immobilized by NATS, the Nissan Anti Theft System. Somehow the NATS system thinks someone tried to start the cat with a non-registered key.

Possible fix - cycle the key on for a second then off for 10 seconds. Do this until the security light goes out. If this doesn't work, you will have to have the key(s) reprogrammed.

Local locksmiths can usually do this and would be cheaper than having the car towed to the dealer for them to do it. But you must make sure that the local locksmith understands you have a 1999 because the car needs a different cable to connect with. Also, if you need a spare key, this would be a great time to get it.

NATS for the loss!!! I've read many threads, most outdated...haha. Any way to have this reset in the 2013 era...haha.

I wonder if this would work from what I've read??
Amazon.com: DIRECTED ELECTRONICS 556U UNIVERSAL REMOTE START INTERFACE MODULE: Car Electronics Amazon.com: DIRECTED ELECTRONICS 556U UNIVERSAL REMOTE START INTERFACE MODULE: Car Electronics

Wonder how hard it is to install.

A module wont help. Your ecu will not give fuel or spark to the engine. NATS must be reset, or swap a 96 ECU in.

Maybe somebody can enlighten, but my car is turbo'd and the ECU is piggybacked by the emanage...so that wouldn't work?

Ecu controls spark period, emanage is in intercept. If you had a full standalone then that would be different, it would start regardless.
