Please help diagnose stalling
97 Max auto, 178k miles. Recent maintenance includes oil change, new fuel filter, new O2 sensor. Usually starts fine, sometimes has to crank excessively long to start, but starter doesn't skip/miss. Idle seems fine, doesn't hunt. Car runs smooth, no sputtering or hesitation. No check engine light. However, the car will randomly shut off when it returns to idle. Sometimes I will start the car, and it will immediately die. Sometimes I will be driving for hours, and come to a stop at a light or in traffic, and it will die. Always starts right back up.
Shop seems to think it is a dirty TB (telephone diagnostic). Can anybody point me in the right direction? I don't have a lot of time to tinker with the car right now...

Did you use an OEM fuel filter or aftermarket. If you used an aftermarket fuel filter it may not be working well which is why your getting excessive cranking and stalling due to fuel having low pressure. Use an OEM Nissan fuel filter from Nissan which is only 25.50 with tax which will not give you any problems and would last longer and should fix the problem.
