Maxima Front End Crash\Repair Questiond

So guys I got into an accident the other day and it sucks completely. I was just wondering if any of you have suggestions on how to fix my front end cheaply. The accident occurred when I was driving I happen to slip on black ice and slammed into another car. Later the other car fled the scene so I have no info on the other driver.

My apologies guys for lack of pics. I'm posting from my phone and have no idea how to upload pics from it. If anyone knows it would be appreciated. The damage is in the front end, my bumper is off track as well as my lights, and I also suspect my hood latch is bent.

I hit a curb about 3 weeks ago in my 4th gen and it bent my driver side LCA, inner tie-rod, swaybar link, LCA pin link, and maybe my swaybar (not sure yet!!!) Any I had a upper and lower oil pan leak as well, plus worn front struts etc....no body damage occured other than my wheelwell splash shield getting screwed up....I'm cleaning parts as for now and reassembly starts after this.....

This snow in CT is hectic, and since my abs is out I been slipping all over the place. Just as an update guys parts for this 97" Se have been cheap. I'm thinking of painting over once I get these fenders and bumper. I used the chain n tree method to unbend my hood latch since it was pushed in an didn't wanna shut

Lol. Dude my wheel wells are all screwed up. Honestly since the accident all I hear is them rubbing against the tire.

What year is your max? If you're fixing the front end and replacing parts you might as well make some swaps. When I messed up my front end I went with a stock 95-96 bumper. When the pass side fender and bumper cover got jacked up it got a 97 se front bumper, 99 grill, 99 se fogs and just for kicks 97 se rear bumper cover. It has since been dubbed Frankenstein.

It's a 1997 Se with leather. Right now I have the Grill, Bumper Reinforcement, and Radiator coming in from ebay. My hunt right now is for a decent SE style bumper and foglights.

I'm thinking of buying the R34 Black Housing Headlights off Ebay. Lol. Idk since the accident I want a more aggressive look.

ooh so u got both headlights for 50 bucks? thats a nice deal there

and yeh dude.. im thinking about buying the black crystals for my white maxi... they look so mean and aggressive no joke, but my car is a 96, but ive seen it on 96's and they still look aggressive, its the headlights that do the job. and i have a license plate on the front bumper, and honestly it makes it look better on the 96 bumper so it doesn't look plain

Yup 50 for a pair, meaning both headlights. I can tell you when I crashed this car I was just gonna give up but when I saw how I can benefit from it all I just pushed on harder on my desire to bring back and better.
Dude there's a 96 in my block thats modded out in red, your car definitely has potential. Auto or 5spd?

As for license plates on the bumper I keep mine on because in CT they pull you over for not having one.

damn 50 bucks for headlights.. i would take that in a heartbeat.
and its too early to get rid of the maxi, it looks good.

holy a 96 red maxima? ive got to see that.. hey man if ya can do a favor.. take a picture of it secretly lol

mines a auto since the last owner was a senior owner, only 129k miles as of today, had it since october 2011, he took really good care of it, had it professionally waxed, cleaned etc every year and was not in the sun alot/maintenance.. but of course when i got this used theres always one thing wrong with it that i gotta fix and im going to fix it eventually >.<

which is when in the parking lot some1 did a hit and run on the driver rear quarter panel, its not major but it did quite some damage on it, its located by the lower part of the car where the small line is and bumper meet. between wheels and bumper

heard some1 on fourms that had exact same spot i have it and repaired for 900$ but i think he got ripped cause some1 on there said "it should be 350$ not 745$ to repair the rear quarter panel, what is this shop on?"...

so just because ya got damage on your car does not mean its time to give up, gotta stay strong about it. gotta go through the bad sometimes to appreciate the good

Lmao. I think I have that same exact dent you speak of. The car had it when I bought it, supposely the last owner was a lady and she wasn't the brightest so my car has a few here and there. Yeah a Red 96 Max with signals in mirrors. I think this guy got it painted at Macco. Idc what ppl say about that place I'm taking my max there to get painted as well. This guys car looks great!

Lol. I used a rubber mullet and kinda pushed the dent out. I think once I take Maxine to Macco they'll smooth it out with bondo. Also the previous owner of the car must've been a trouble maker cause there's a long key mark from the end of the door to the quarter panel.

=o lol im not a fan of skyline tailights, i personally only like the clears/smoked ones

since i have a 96 i cant do much to my taillights, and the only clear ones they have are David L (which are expensive are extremely rare) and the ones from ebay that are crystal clear.

Swap your trunk to a '97 and swap out lights IMO.

Also, I'm pretty sure those are altezza tail lights.

i would but one thing is idk how much it would cost, i would probably have to go to a shop to get it swapped if i had the trunk.

would also like to do front end swap,

think for both swaps its around 500-$700? where can i get the parts for a good price? ebay?

is it weird that sometimes I do like the 96, but then one day i go "oh i like the 97.." then i go back to 96.. i dont know.. i think its cause everytime i look at mine i think that its too good to get rid of. the paint is just alive and i feel if i replace it, i wont see the same look again. since the senior owner(he was a grandpa that always loved keeping the paint alive in the early days when he was young, he even showed me pictures of his cars and continued to do until 2011) said its all original paint, and when some1 hit him on the rear quarter panel he couldn't really afford it anymore as he was getting old, i felt bad so I bought the maxima from him and make sure its alive and fixed.

and yeah i know i have the lame honeycomb rims lol, im going to get some nice ones next month(looking at 5 and 6 spoke wheels), keeping it stock 15 inch though, probably gonna buy rims off tirerack, as i found some nice rims on there for 80-110$ a rim that go well with the car.

oh yea and this was the dent(driver side) i was talking about that i am going to fix soon (only dent on the car poor maxi lol), how bad do u think it looks? its creased as u can see. so the metal is bent
