Steep snowy driveway = ABS light on

My girl couldnt make it up our driveway during the snow storm today, so i walked down and i got it up, but as i was doing it i noticed the abs light came on(which it never has b4) and now when in park when i tap the brakes i hear clicking under the shifter(auto 98 gle)....any ideas?
when i got down to where she was i backed it down the rest of the driveway and while backing (not fast) the drivers rear wheel went into some crusty piled up snow from the storm 2 days ago...could snow have messed up an ABS sensor for the rear driverside wheel?
any help will be greatly appreciated!! you guys have allways been so much help!!
thanks!
oh, the breaks kinda seem spongy also!

The clicking is the shift interlock. It's there all the time, you've just never noticed it.
The ABS light is probably do to the snow and abnormal wheel slip/speed. This can happen if the ABS system detects abnormal signals from the wheel speed sensors. For example, if one rear wheel is not spinning or slipping while the fronts are turning it will throw the system off. As soon as you drive it again and the system detects all 4 wheels are spinning at the correct speeds the light will reset.

Every two years when I take my car in for smog, I get it back with the ABS light on. After about 10 miles or so, it goes away on it's own.
