how do i replace a water pump?
Hello guy's i haave a 95 nissan maxima, im needing to replace a water jump and never done it before.. Ive done lots of other stuff to my car but just want come tops on keeping the timming chin on coming to lose and stuffing it all up?? thank you

There arecsome pretty informative YouTube videos too.
It's a little difficult and can be quite frustrating in that the vast majority of the work is done solely by feel and not sight due to space restrictions.
If you duct tape or otherwise adhere a mirror to the inner fender it helps.
Be exceeding careful when removing and reinstalling bolts. A bolt dropped behind the timing cover is very much no good.

If you do d rop something in the timing cover, you would do well to weld a 10mm socket to the bar with a hook on it to reach some of the back bolts for it. You can fit a socket, but not a ratchet and if you don't have very small hands, you won't get a wrench on them.

Buy a Haynes manual as well...It's straight forward....stuff some rugs in under your tensioner and your waterpump jsut incase you drop some bolts etc.....
