Followup to my horn post

I finally got over to Pep Boys and checked out their replacement horns. I'm going to pick up the FIAMM "blaster" horns to replace my OEM ones. It looks like a simple, plug and play install. One question though - should I get different pitched ones or the same? Those manly domestic horns that we all want to sound like - how do I get that sound?

I think you had concluded getting an I30 horn was not a good solution to the Maximas horn problem but I have the part numbers and prices on both the upper and lower horns. There are:
25610-53411 $60.32
25620-53410 $70.22
I was waiting for my car to be done at the Nissan dealership today so I visited all the neighboring dealerships. The guy looked at me real funny when I asked how much the I30 horns were. That and he didn't want to get me the time of day since I was a teenager looking at a dealership for Infinitys, MBs, Volvos, VWs. These are for a 97 BTW.

The Pep Boys horns are like 15 bucks each... I wouldn't pay 5 times the money for any horn. Thanks for the part numbers though, I'll call up a few Infiniti dealers and see if I can't get better prices. I'm thinking I'm just going to go back and buy one high and one low and see how it comes out. Worse comes to worse, I'm only out 15 bucks or so.

Weasel,

Go for the two tone, with the Fiamm horns, your car will sound like an Italian Sports Car .

Of course there is always not having a horn and using your finger instead

my friend installed the hellas in his civic and he just loves to scare pedestrians. he calls it "turd popping" cause they have this look as if they just drop a loaf when he "surprises" them with his hellas.
