HELP! Stainless Steel 1 piece clutch line

Ok, I have been searching everywhere online, multiple forums and websites. Every word combo possible for the past 3 days/nights.

I want to replace my clutch line with a 1 PIECE STAINLESS STEEL MASTER TO SLAVE LINE.

The websites mention here do not work anymore or ONLY have the UPPER line. (Technafit, Racetechperformance.com)

Now, I have no problem fabricating my own SS Line using universal parts, however I also CANNOT find the OEM clutch line size. I believe it is -3AN but need to be positive.

Please anyone who can help I am so f*#king frustrated right now.

You can buy it directly from Techna-Fit, which is what I would do. I have one in one of my Max's, and the length is spot on, and the fittings are perfect too.
http://www.technafitstore.com/Nissan...p/nccl-201.htm

Or you can go with the guy from China and pray the fittings and length are spot on...

^^ That one is the shorter line. He wants it directly from the master cyl. I remember some vendor selling one years ago. Someone did a write up also. This line would solve any problems with the factory line, so the one direct from the master wouldn't be much better. It is all hard lines from the master til you hit that weak rubber line which would be replaced by this piece.

I went to http://www.technafitstore.com/ as you said and they DID have the COMPLETE SS master to slave line. $50 + shipping.

However!
They also allow you to choose a custom line and build it yourself. I choose this option at 54" with a 20 degree banjo fitting and a 90 degree female and added in a -3 to 10mmx1.25 male adapter (exactly how they make it themselves)

So with a little effort and observation, I am getting master to slave SS Line SHIPPED priority 2 day USPS for $33.40

Thanks for the replies! Deff got me in the right direction.

Sorry, but you're wrong. Did you even read the descriptions in the links I provided? Master to slave...

Yeah, I noticed you can pick your hose color cover...but nothing about the fittings. You must have done a "build your own"??

$33.40 seems wrong though. It's $50+shipping...did you mean $53.40?

I only looked at the ebay link. Quite a fail there. They showed the shorter line but said they are selling the 54".

Yes I did do "build your own" or as they have it labeled CUSTOM LINE.
And the price is LESS then if you purchase the marketed Clutch replacement line.

Not really sure why it is significantly less then the marketed line. However I confirmed my order via phone today and did ask why the huge difference.

Answer:........

"Because most people see the Clutch Replacement link and immediately click. They don't even bother SCROLLING down to see the CUSTOM option."

So basically smart business! Now if you don't know what to select then I suppose you could be wasting money since all custom lines are a zero return policy. But with a little research and browsing their site I thought it was VERY EASY.

I did elect to go with a long line because I can always shorten it if needed. AND wanted to keep the line away from engine heat and most importantly not crossing with air intake.

Call me crazy

I agree. I went out and measured my Techna-fit that I have in one of my Maximas...it's about 44" and is the perfect length in my opinion.

Can you please post pics? Hopefully un-installed and installed? I'd like to see how it's different than what Techna-Fit would normally provide. Thanks!

To anyone who follows this method like I did, the correct adapter for the OEM master cylinder is a 1.00 pitch, NOT 1.25. You can wrench in a 1.25 because the metal is soft, but where the 1.25 requires a wrench after about half a turn, the 1.00 adapter will screw most of the way in with just your fingers. It's also obvious comparing the 1.25 adapter to the OEM hard line fitting that the pitch is smaller on the OEM.

At this time, the part numbers are:
300-03-CUSTOM - custom line
[First End:S3093-03S - 20 DEGREE BEND BANJO]
[Second End:S1091-03S - 90 DEGREE BEND]
306-03-31S - 10mmx1.00 adapter

The 20 degree Banjo should really have some clocking on it to match the way the OEM line lies on the slave cylinder, but I'm not sure how much, and it works fine without it.

I got 48" of line to make sure I had enough, and it was plenty long, but not so much that I was worried about it being in the way or ending up where it shouldn't. I did zip tie it to the old hard line in a couple of spots to keep it from floating around in the engine bay.

I screwed up by listening to Eric Edwards.

Before anyone else makes the mistake I did (by listening to Eric Edwards), order your custom line from Technafit and use this:

44" total length (54" is way too long, I ordered mine at 50" and that was way too long too).
20 degree side bend banjo
#3 line
Order a metric adapter that is #3 to 10mmx1.0mm

LOL. I had a feeling Eric's suggestion was bad a year ago! Thanks for the confirmation.

The worst part is, no one on island has that adapter (#3 to 10mm x 1.0mm). So now I have to play that waiting game.

My car has been sitting for 9 days already.

Sorry to bump such an old thread. But it was the newest one that popped up when I searched for "SS clutch line". Is Technafitstore.com the only place to get a new 4th gen SS clutch line (besides ebay)? $50 seems steep and I remember a few years ago there were a couple other sources for around $30. Thanks.
