lower

I know a few people near me with 4th gens who lowered theirs, i myself find it not to be worth it...depending how low you go the car rides like crap...and they also over the years have gone through quite a few axel's....not just one of my friends but all 3 of the people that lowered em have had several axel issues!...
And when i take rides with them, i cant wait to get back into my stock gle....i get sick of banging down the road...they also have kyb's and differing drops!
When we hang out and talk cars they all say they regret lowering , and wished theyd used the cash for more performance mods instead, they think unless ur on a track...when just playing around (where there not supposed to)on the road and blow people away, its just a quick little thing usualy on the highway..or a quick little stop light battle.
i know being stock ,when my exhaust goes im gonna throw a y-pipe among other aftermarket exhaust peices...plus i think its funny when a civic pulls up and doesnt see a drop they suspect you are just stock...it makes it better when u blow em away!
But since your the "Drift King" lower away!

One of the worst springs you can put on the a32 body.
If you like the look, great.
If you want to drive it respectfully, no.

Hmm, i have only heard one horror story about lowering a maxima and that was because the guy used ebay springs on worn out struts. Im not wanting to slam it just lower it about 2"... i dont like large amounts of wheel gap...

And what about Megan Racing lowering springs? I heard they are pretty good...

Ok...

megan old or megan new? Either way, I don't trust em.

There are a ton of threads on different suspension set ups...

do a wee bit of searching, and you will be rewarded.

And no matter what, you will have to replace axles, it is the angle man, it comes with the territory.

If you want to eliminate wheelgap, amerikaner83 did a great job while not making his ride look overly modified.

I dumped mine and slapped 19's on it...

Stick to 1-1/2 inches and you'll do much better with a spring on strut. It looks fine too with the right wheels. (See sig)

If you really want to lower the a32 two inches and make it ride and handle descent you absolutely need a real coil-over set up.

So coilovers then.... ok. Just one question. Can someone give me in depth details about them, what does dampening them do, and what are those needles with the blue caps for??? Sorry, I know NOTHING about coilovers except they are adjustable...

I found these:

Ok....

Step 1.

it really won't hurt to search Coilovers on here, there are some REALLY REALLY REALLY good threads there... it is where I learned everything.

Step 2.

In a nutshell coilovers are a single piece strut and shock combo that are encapsulated with a spring. They are the end all be all of track performance. They to make the ride stiffer and can make it uncomfortable, the D2's are pretty buttery even on low pro tires and big rims.

They are designed to replace your stock suspension. Taking this into consideration you need to look at your fstb, front and rear sway bars...

Suspension is one of the best things you can do to an A32, if you can coax out the torqe from the engine and get it more responsive you can make the car feel completely different...

just be ready to **** away about 10k.

Is it seriously THAT expensive... well i might do it anyways. My maxima could use an suspension overhaul. Kinda worn out after 265,000.. lol

You want to mod a car that has 250k + miles on it????

And no... suspension won't be THAT expensive... prolly around 4k for an overhaul...

then there is the engine... then the transmission... then the brakes... then the interior... then the body... then the exaust...

you feel me?

My car has 180k on the shell, the engine, tranny, suspension, brakes, exhaust have all been replaced/swapped/upgraded....

and yeah, that cost about 10k... and I am still N/A.

Make sure you want to SPEND not invest the money on the car... you won't get it back if you sell the car... it will be gone...

Yeah i know it sounds stupid but i know the original owners and it has been pretty well taken care of, well mechanically anyway. Biggest problem is body work. needs paint, front bumper, few dents popped out here and there. Only Drivetrain problems it had was it had an ignition coil going bad, exhaust was starting to rust up and transmission needed serviced(later blown up, due to my stupidity), and was about due for a tune up... Soo I figured "ehh what the hell...Ima Fix her up!"

I'm running the H-Tiens and the compliance is pretty good but I'm running AGX. So I'm not sure how the GR-2 with be with them spring! That's a 2.2" drop right?

Yeah thanks correct 2.2" drop in front 1.8" rear. My Maxima had the same AGX for 10 years....So I know they were good for about 8 yrs. I've got a blown front strut and it still handles very good! Replacing all mine as we speak! This setup is too low for everyday use, you have to stay alert, Awesome look Though:

I'd rather take out my springs than run Stechs with KYB.
