What Size Rims do you recommend on a 99 GLE?
my boy is selling me his G35 19 inch rims to me for 500 with tires... DO you think i should get them or will my ride suck... Right now i have the 16 inch stock blade rims.
I have 18" G35 coups, 17" 2k2 Maxima, and 15" sawblades..the bigger the rims got, the harsher the ride was.
I can live with the 17" daily driving, the G35's are show off, and the 15" are for slicks
I've been toying with 18's for the summer when the potholes are fixed and have enjoyed the 17's I have now through the winter for the most part. Shorter sidewall would equal better handling, but it's pretty good on the 17's currently.
The roads around here are absolute crap right now - like driving through a mine field so you need some sidewall to soak it up. 45 series tires are all the shorter sidewall I can tolerate (running 235/45/17 on 17" SL wheels on D2 C/O's about 3" drop).
IMHO, 19's would be brutal unless you live in a southern state with smooth roads.

for whatever reason i blow through tirod ends with my 18"s also... They are heavy, big,(and i live in New England) sadly so roads are a **** show lol agreed with ^^ go big if u live in the south or if u can handle a bumpy ride cause yeah its bumpy but i love my g35 coupe wheels somethin about them on the 4th gen they look soo good
