iceball hit front bumper, thinking of changing bumper lights
welp, some d-bag little kid threw an iceball at the max and i need 1,300.00 worth of body work and a new front bumper. i was thinking of changing the bumper lights to one of these 2 light sets. change, or keep the same.
and no, i didn't see where it came from, nor did i call the cops. insurance is fixing cause i have a vandalism clause in my policy. set 1:

Both are nice. This really boils down to whether or not you want a more white/ chrome color scheme or prefer to have everything blacked out. If you post a pic of your max's setup ill give my honest opinion but in the end this is a personal choice.
On my max i have the clears but i also have silver rims and chrome window trim and door handles. If everything was body color id probably have black bumper lights.

First pic max headlights with the second pic smoked lower lights. But that car looks hot, if you have the second car clear looks better making it shine.

believe it or not the iceball bent the fender in a little at the corner as well, but you know body shops. they want to repaint the whole fender and that means fixing the rust on the edge as well. : )

the hell? thats 1,300$ damage? u gotta be joking... looks like all u need is a new front bumper.. which the cover itself runs about $100. where is this 1000$+ repair coming from?
front ends shouldn't be that much to repair cause most of them are just plastic bumpers.
hence some people have repaired rear quarter panels for that kind of money (around the $1000 range) and ur sayin that verryyy minor front bumper is $1300+
it just doesn't sound right to me lol..
just replace the front bumper, $100 for the part, idk how much paint is.

Oh man! That kind of damage from an ice ball, dang! It looks like someone threw a rock at it.
But the bumper lights in the first picture look awesome! It might go well with my theme so far lol

body shops can repair that so cheap if that was their car, labor is where the $ comes from. Sometimes I wish i knew how to do their thing so I wouldn't have to pay for labor.
but yeh as this guy ^ said theres no way a iceball has caused that damage... U must of hit something without realizing it. A person able to throw a iceball that low of the bumper is just nearly impossible... u must of hit something underneath..

well how come u didnt sue the person who caused the damage? even though u stated u have a policy on ur insurance, If i was in the situation I would get them cause that's personal property damage to another. I hate hit and runs... thats a crime.
Were they playing snowball fighting or iceball fight and accidently hit ur car? I never had snow where I live so i dont know how its like over there
its possibly u had a crack that area, usually bumpers crack in that area due to roads and little rocks hitting it overtime.

bottom line is it was hit with a frozen snowball and thats what i found when i got out and looked. i did'nt see any cracks in that side, but it might have been damaged after this winter we had and just caved in. it's getting fixed, that's all i care about.
