Front headlights.

Wanted to ask the experienced forum members a question relating to front headlight. My car was in a fender bender from front and I changed the old headlights with aftermarket headlights from ebay. These lights worked fine for the first day but the next day they weren't working so I played around under the hood with the wires that go to the bulbs in the headlight assembly. When I move the connectors they seem to work but after I let them settle they stop working. So I was wondering if I could solder the wires together instead of the connections. Would really appreciate the help from the generous folks of the forum.

Do you have the one piece headlights and if so are you using the harness supplied with them?

If you inserted the R34s aftermarket headlights made in Taiwan then you'll need to ziptie the connectors together. They don't snap on snug.

Solder them instead, perhaps the pins in the connectors are loose.

I did try to use the ziptie to hold the connectors but still not a proper connection. If I solder the wires what will be side effect of doing so. Will the lights remain on everytime or just when I turn the light on.

I would use butt connectors personally unless you're good at soldering. It's so easy to get a cold joint and you will still have issues.

But no, they won't stay on all the time. They will only be on when you turn them on.
