That's not a line. It's a wire. One's for the crankshaft position sensor. The other which goes to the back and is lower, usually covered by oil on older cars, is to the oil pressure sensor. Oil pan gasket leak can cause this, oil change spills cause this, as well as the oil pressure sensor leak can cause this. There can also be oil leaking down the engine from up above like the upper oil pan gasket and timming cover gasket. Wipe it all down, degrease it, and when it's all clean then you can identify where the leak is coming from when it starts leaking again. Fix/replace as needed/wanted.

A valve cover gasket leak will also drip off the wire.

When the engine is cold, feel the cylinder head right below the valve cover.

So my oil leak stopped, I drained the oil, and was about to remove the lower oil pan got all the bolts out, but the damn thing was on too tight like someone superglue it on, so I bolt everything back up, and to my surprise it as stopped leaking, but when I drive with the windows down, and I move from a stop, I can smell something like burning oil, I know this is new because I've never smell burning oil before until recently, and I was surprise how black the oil was coming out of the car, and it's been in the car for about 2 months now or less, Last time I changed it, I used Castrol GTX 5-30 because there was no 10-30, I didn't think it was that big of a deal, I changed the filter, and that was pretty much it, the car run great, the inside of my engine was very clean, so I'm a little lost with what's going on with my car, any ideas?

do you really thing it's that easy to locate a leak when most of down there is covered with oil/dirt from years upon years, Plus like I said, it's no longer leaking from the oil pan area, however I did notice that I was leaking oil pretty hard from a hose that was at the bottom at the radiator, looks like I didn't tighten the hose clamp very well so I did that, and it's good now, however I am a little confuse how as soon as I stop the leak on the oil pan that the hose started leaking, so my question is, was I losing pressure in the oil or something like that.
