i was wondering if a 2000 maxima motor would fit into a 96 maxima because i wanted to do that if it fits in. because i found a 2000 max at a junk yard and i can buy the motor cheap, motor only has 17k on it.

Especially because of all your mods. You should not expect a 32 hp gain because with the mods you have take advange of your specific engine. However, I agree the 2002 3.5L Maxima engine would be worth it. But if you got that, you would have to sacrafice the majority of your mods incl. S/C. However there is always more potential from a bigger engine.
