No start issues

I got to the point where I thought my car was ready to start up, after replacing my 99 motor and auto trans with an 01 de-k and 98 5spd manual.
I get full power to everything but my windows, and I do not hear the fuel prime for start, nor does my starter work. Im going to get that bench tested and possibly replace the starter. I used the How to's section on 4th gen forums to do the 5speed swap and did the P-N switch wire connections so the car should think its in neutral or park and allow it to start. I dunno if I did this wiring correctly on the wire harness Name: wiremax.jpg

Size: 40.2 KBOriginally it was the grey plug from the 99 that matched this wire harness plug so I got a (blue) 2001 plug off a donor car and re-wired it in. Let me get some thoghts here. Thanks.

Why would you mess with that harness in the first place. Put the harness back to stock and let me know more details like if your running dek injectors and check to see if your getting spark and check if your getting fuel

I changed it because there was no way to plug it in to the new motor...

So you are using dek injectors....you have to use your original rear injectors harness and if you want to use the dek injectors then slice your original injectors harness and wire the dek injector harness into your original harness then you'll need some kind of safc 2 to control the injectors.

I'd like to update my thread here. I'm rather confident in the wiring as stated earlier.
I've found that I'm not getting a signal to my starter to turn over, and I'm thinking it has something to do with the tranny conversion? I followed the instruction on the howto's for manual to 5spd swap, but still have no start. Everything works electrically, except my starter is not spinning. (starter is brand new and was bench tested before I bought it, just to make sure it worked out of box) In the how to 5spd swap it says to connect the two wires on the plug off the front of the tranny harness together so the car thinks its in P-N. Something isnt right I've played with different configurations of the wires and nothing will allow the car to start. Really confused

I just saw this post. Thanks, this makes perfect sense. I kind of did it revered by swapping the plugs. I'll try the full harness.
Still not sure why I'm not getting any signal power to my starter tho?

I also already have a AEM UEGO wideband, and an APEXI safcII

Pulled the Inhibitor clutch interlock relay out and put a paperclip in the 6 &7 slots, got the starter to spin and turn the motor over. Still no start. I bought a brand new relay and replaced the old one, but it went back to not doing anything! The paper clip still works tho.. Really really confused.... I didnt check yet, but I don't think I'm getting fuel either. Sorry for huge *** images lol.Name: IMAG1249.jpg

Did you check for spark or fuel like I told you to? Maybe a bad ground the mating surface (engine and transmission bellhousing) can cause this

Ok chaps. I figured it out. I read up on some NATS stuff. I tried a reset where you put your key in and out of the ignition 10 times, then try to start it. I grounded the two wires stated in the 5spd swap Howtoos for the clutch, and she started up first turn! So I am going to do a write on on how I did this de-k swap and add it to the now limited selection of info we have. Lotta dead links and pics. So everybit helps for ppl like me trying to do a swap. Thanks guys for your help on this!
