1999 nissan maxima hard start up issue
I own a 1999 Maxima SE with 188k miles on it. It is a great car and the motor is still kicking great! However as of today, I've been having start up issues. I recently got a newly rebuilt transmission and replaced the starter (From Autozone) 2-3 months ago. I just got an oil change done by a mechanic and all of a sudden, my car has been having a hard time starting up. Any ideas???

Check the CPS connector & wiring my car stoped startin after an oil change the connector and wiring run right under the oil filter think of what 15 years of oil changes and excess oil gettinng on that wiring and connector does
A tip to check out

. I had different color injector's that the snap-on mechanic told me. Then I replace them all with OEM re-manufacture Nissan injector to be on the safe side and for better performance. Make sure the injector are for the same year and model and the same color.
another tip

Start with the most simple starting problem know to man. The ignition switch looses contact and if so the 12v will not reach the starter enough to cause good cranking.
Remove and test while still plugged with a screwdriver if its worn than there you go sir.
I have a brand new one for sale if your interested ?
