AC compressor high /low pressure hose mount

I needed to replace my ac compressor. Purchased a reman Calsonic. Everything matches except for the high/low pressure line mounting bolts on the compressor itself. The reman has a threaded female hole for each hose mounts verses the original having a threaded male stud that attaches to each hose with a washered nut. Confused? Do I need to pick up some new machine bolts to screw into the these new female threads on the compressor? Anyone have any experience with this? If so, what size bolt works? Thanks.

Yes I had the same thing happen and had to pick up new bolts for my new compressor. That was several years ago so can't remember which size bolts I purchased.

Well...I was able to find another AC compressor at another advance store. It seems to be that there are several different compressors available.this new one has male threaded studs at each hi / low inlet outlet. the store associate texted me a pic as I didn't want to drive 20 miles for the heck of it. the weird thing is that both units have the same model number.

The only other concern I have is PAG oil. the oil in the OEM defective unit is a thinner viscosity verses what comes in the reman unit. Does anyone know if PAG 100 or 46 is recommended? also, does anyone know how much oil is primed in the reman? I think the FSM states to add 5 ounces directly to the compressor. can anyone confirm this?

PAG 46. When removing the old compressor drain the oil from it. However much comes out of the old compressor put that amount back into the new compressor.

After installing a rebuilt ac compressor and alternator, my max runs as quiet as it did new. Now, I have to figure out some cold start idling issues.
