Drove M3 on Sat
Saturday morning I test drove my cousin's new M3. It's black on black. Not much traffic that morning, so I gave it a little push. That sucker pulls like mad. The ride is awesome even though the car is running 18's. It corners like it's on rails. And this was all before my cousin hit the "sport" button. Once the button is pressed, you're just basically saying to cars around you "smell ya later". I was a good mood all day after driving that car.

It's a 2k2. It had around 350 miles when I drove it.

Was it the NEW M3, or just a used one new to him? I would love to go up to the BMW dealer and test drive an M3 or something like that, but I think they'd question a 20 year old's ability to buy one and tell me no. hehe. So the sport button is like a minature shot of NOS without NOS?

I'm pretty sure that I read about this in some BMW info booklet. What the sport button does is make the engine respond accordingly to the gas pedal, instead of the ECU deciding to conserve gas for criusing. In "sport" mode you press the pedal 50% down, the engine puts out 50% of it's max power. Pedal 100% down=100% power and 100%

Ok, Ok, we all know the ride and power are great, but the looks man! The new M3 is one of the tightest looking cars from the factory, especially with those 18" rims. The curves and lines on that work of art are better than most women's. Man, I would die to have a car like that. Of course, I'm only dreaming right now to own one of those.
