Would it seal right? I messed up not ordering an iacv gasket in advance before doing my egr and iacv cleaning.

IIRC, I re-used my old gasket along with a small amount of permatex copper for good measure. Didn't have any problems. When you say exhaust gasket material, do you mean the universal stuff that you can cut to fit? I'd imagine if the thickness is similar, it should be ok, but I'm really not so sure... Sorry man

I've done something similar to the above by reusing the old gasket with a Permatex copper anti-seize treatment when I didn't have one available.

As I recall the original IACV gasket is either metal or made from some tough material.

Also, not long ago, I ordered one from my local Nissan dealer on a Friday afternoon for a few bucks and they had it by 1:00 PM on Saturday.

On one occasion a few years ago, I think I took an exacto knife and cut an IACV gasket from a roll of some gray gasket material I purchased at Advance Auto. As I recall I replaced the homemade gasket with one from the dealer a short time later. I don't remember if it caused problems or I just wanted to use something more permanent.

I am going to go ahead and use permatex copper on the old gasket then. Thanks for the help.
