Where to look for engine/tranny?

soooo my plans to fix up my max went down the drain after a really, really horrific hail storm came through a couple months ago, now the body is bent to all hell and it's not worth fixing, so what i think im going to do is buy a cheap max, with excellent body condition, and ride it for awhile till i can afford to swap in a newer VQ30DE and tranny, preferrably with the same or very similar miles, less than 60k would be awesome. but i am having a hell of a time trying to find a place that sells the trans i need...can anyone point me in a direction? i figure since i already know a lot about the maxima and how to do some work on it, i might as well continue the quest for a sick *** maxima.

Look at car-part.com
It will be hard to find engine and tranny with less than 60k miles.

Finding a used 60k mile motor will be close to impossible to find...especially when alot of j/y's will tell u anything u wanna hear for miles...go rebuilt if u have a buddy who can help, or if u know a decent nissan mech. who does weekend work.....good luck on your decision!

Where are you located? A lot depends on your location and the number of junk yards in your area?

Last winter I found a granny owned 4th gen with ~72,000 miles that had been totaled from a rear end collision. The engine was full of carbon but once I got it all cleaned out and properly setup, it runs like a new car.

I've got an 02 VQ35 + tranny for sale and a 95 VQ30 + tranny for sale. The VQ30 has a blown head gasket but the tranny was working perfect (auto). The VQ35 and tranny both only have 25k on them.
