Consult

Just a quick question about 'Consult' is there an after market version of this? Because Nissan Australia will not sell me one, i did expect this but it was worth a shot.

Re: Consult

Good god. I've been looking for something like this also. Nissan consults are like a couple of grand $usa. You were going to buy one?!

I think some have got a MDM-100 to work or maybe an Apexi unit. But they just show what the engine is doing(ie.. rpms, injector, water temp etc..) It doesn't feature diagnostics or error code reading etc..

Some guy here used a hand-held Snap-On unit that he actually pulsed individual injectors to check the ohm readings etc.. Nice unit, but I understand those are in the USD$3,000 range also! wow!

It's crappy becuase the obd-II guys can use palm based obd-II scanners and the domestic guys can go to Pep-boys and pick up all kinds of stuff. The 3-gen maxima is kinda left out.

Re: Consult

Consult costs a bomb!!! It's really a nice piece of machinery but I wouldn't sepnd the few grand on one just to read engine codes.

Re: Re: Consult

It costs so much becuase it does about 10x more than just read error codes. Hell you can do that for free.

That's true, but I can't imagine a regular Max owner wanting to do the 10x things on their car other than reading the error codes.

What you pay for is what you get ... unless it's $teallin
