Drove through some really bad flooded areas yesterday, now manual tranny wont shift

Been a long while since ive been up here,

Drove through some really bad flooding yesterday. drove the car for a good 15 min when i was in the clear to make sure under carriage could dry off some.
Parked the car overnight.
Woke up to a semi flooded parking lot, tried to put in reverse would not go in. I did the "move car forward and backward in neutral to maybe free up and pop back in".
NO LUCK.
Need to get some ideas on to what may be the problem. Cant work on it due to flooded parking lot, and cant afford to bring it into a shop. SO pretty much a "Figure it out and DIY if possible". Once everything clears up.
any feedback on what/where to start first would be appreciated

i checked underneath to see if any debris was causing shift linkage to be stuck....NON
while car is turned off i can easily shift in and out of gears with no problem
I checked master and slave....Fluid check good
i cant check tranny atm due to rain (i have been working on the car since 0530 est, changed sets of clothes twice)
Car drove fine through flood areas in first, like i said earlier drove her an extra 15 min going through all gears (minus reverse) to ensure everything was operating fine on dry roads

any help would be appreciated, I looked this up, seems that everyone is talking about bad clutch, TO bearing, Bleeding the slave and master.
IF the car was shifting fine until the encounter with mother nature, how would that affect the internals?

Don't know if wet clutches swell or not, but it might have, causing the clutch to not disengage? also the pilot beaing might have rusted overnight, affectively linking the input shaft directly to the crankshaft. Can you put it into gear and then start it with the clutch pedal pressed?

sounds like water got into the clutch disc, if you can shift freely in all gears with the engine off its not linkage
