Odd O2 Sensor Question
Odd O2 Sensor Question
Okay, so I'm returning my 97 GXE back to stock, so I had to order a new O2 sensor from my local dealer because mine didn't have a rear O2 sensor anymore (I took it out).
I got the sensor and had to weld it into the exhaust because I put the 99 exhaust from my new car onto the 97 and the O2 sensor hole was a different size.
So, I go to install the cat and O2 sensor and notice that there is a different plug on the car and sensor. On the car there is a square plug with 4 wires and the O2 sensor has a rectangular plug with 3 wires.
Anyone with a 97 FSM know what wires do what? I would like to cut the connectors off and solder the correct wires together if at all possible.

Anyone with a 97 FSM wanna look this up for me? Sprint answered my question about what the wires on the NEW O2 sensor does (4 wires). Now I need to know about the sensor with 3 wires...

That black/red wire goes to the battery on the newer one.
