Need your input on paint color!

Im looking to do a bunch of body work over this winter to get ready for the summer time fun, but im still debating on which color i wanna paint her, im having a highly respected relative of mine that has been doing automotive paint for years, he will be doing jams and everything, this will NOT be a macco paint job. But back to what i was saying, what color have you guys saw or not saw on a maxima that you thought would look good? Ive got the gold max right now, and im thinking of painting it a cream white, but ive saw some pretty good looking maximas on here, so just looking for some of your alls input.

Thanks!

If it were me ... I'd have it done in the OE color code.

I always loved the sage mist green of my previous maxima, it was a 97 to 99 color. That color really works well with platinum colored rims.

2nd choice would be the blue maxims like max ride 41 or amerikaner83

My I30 right now is this dark green I feel "meh" about. I wish it was black. It kinda becomes black at night, so

I always thought the 5th Gens looked good white. Yours is a 4th Gen though, right? White would still look good on the 4th. BTW, anyone know the paint code of the dark blue color that was specific to the anniversary edition? Wish my A/E was that color. I think that dark blue would look good on a 4th Gen.

Let's Make a Deal..........

I'll tell you my input, if you make videos and share them with us on the Body Work! LOL Seriously, I'd love to see how it's done!

The 4th Gens that turn my head most usually have mods that make the car look less cluttered and more sleek. So many 4th Gens were sold in the NY area, so I see so many stock. But the ones that are enhanced to look FAST, always look like a different animal with not too much being done. Any color looks even better with some body enhancements (I'm thinking Sofia Vergara enhancements).

But my favorite Sofia Vergara 4th Gen is usually in Sterling Mist!

My A/E is sterling mist. I don't think I've ever seen a 4th Gen in that color. Would probably look nice.

Cream White is a low maintenance color.

Will you have a clear and metallic layer over cream?

Black or white are the best for 4th gen maximas.
But i have seen some nice skyline blue or crimson red as well.
There are a couple purples too.

Midnight blue and candy apple red are two of my favorites. If your going through all the work of painting it, make it stand out with a non-OE color. I also like the metallic grey that the 5th gens come in. Seems to be the most common 5th gen color

Keep in mind future repairs if need be. My 4th gen is black, I painted 2 doors, both fenders and both bumpers with du pont two stage black urethane, can't tell the difference at all from the factory original. Black is black, easy to fix and repair. If it were me, I would go with a unique color like true green.

It looks pretty cool if you black out all the chrome bits, like the m-a-x-i-m-a on the trunk and Nissan burger on the grill, to name a few parts.

There's a guy on here who did that....cant remember the name though.

I love my pearl white. Too bad its full of rock chips, I've heard it's the most expensive to replicate.

This two-tone white over gold combination was popular in the 90s. There is an I30 near me that has this combination.
