Yup, start checking. There are fuses inside the car and in the engine bay.

I'd start with the 10A Meter fuse. This fuse can be found behind a panel under the steering wheel and where your left knee would be if you were driving.

Quick test, do your reverse lights work? If so, it's not a cluster fuse problem.

The only fuse that powers the cluster is that 10A meter fuse that The Wizard pointed out, but it also directly powers your reverse lights.

Use a continuity tester and check all of them at once, it's quick, easy, And may save you further headache if something else is out that you don't know of, like tail lights

If it's that same 10a fuse, your battery won't charge either and the car will die somewhere on the road. OUCH!

Been there... Done that!

Bump, although I'm assuming it was just the meter fuse and that we won't be hearing anymore from this person
