Where would I purchase a new tail pipe tip for my 95 Maxima? I had to replace the muffler yesterday and now all I have it the stainless pipe sticking out of the rear and it is not a sexy look.

 

Do you want the exact same stock tip, or will a universal one work? Universal ones can be bought at most any auto parts store. The stock one is either pressed or welded on to the pipe. Either way it doesn't like to come off. I tried to get it off when I replaced mine. I ended up getting universal ones that look almost the same.

 

I went to a muffler shop and asked if they have any used tips laying around. I found a nice 3.5" stainless steel tip. They game it to me for around $25 installed. Looked good and the price was great.

Cut the pipe however far back and install a muffler tip.

 

IMO, SS is way more sexy than not! LOL If it's any consolation, I rarely seeany 4th Gen's with the flare tip anymore. I was disappointed when mine went by the wayside. If your Max is in nice shape, I'd go for it!
