Add that $50 code reader to your kit.

The '99 was bucking like a bronco when she warmed up and had no power. Well, my first thought was the TCW-3 I've been putting in the gas for a couple of months now. Thought I might have clogged up a FI. Injector was clickin, seemed ok. CEL flashing under load.

$50 Autozone code reader to the rescue. ECU threw a P0306 and P1320. Ignition system cylinder 6 misfire. Ordered a Hitachi coil pack($58) and 15 minutes did the trick. Runnin' like a rabbit again.

If you haven't yet(noobs) pick one up, it'll save you sum serious bux.

True. But I'd rather drop the $50 for the digital readout and ease of clearing codes.

NDS2 works great on 5th gens. Only NDS1 will work on a 4th gen. I have both and I can only use NDS2 on my neighbor's 2000 model.

Also note the connect strings are different on NDS1 for 99 models compared to earlier models.

I use a $20 one. It has definitely paid for itself.
