aftermarket body compents = fitment issues , period regardless of brand.

As said, fitment is not going to be spot on. BUT I must say that is pretty terrible. I used to have a cheap no name CF hood. It took some effort to tweak, but the overall fit was good. I had to enlarge the 4 holes in the hinges and adjust the latch. The bracing separated from the skin, but I took care of that.

I installed Ford Racing hood pins and kept the latch.

You're right.
I did say open to any opinions anyhow.
It may be awhile though because I'm in the middle of a header install..literally..have the front one off so I saved the easy one for last.

I'll probably be the first person to have fitment issues with Cattman headers.

The hinge hole I widened was the one on the left.
Picture was taken when I was about 75% done.
The dremel bit was toast and I had to stop there to buy another.

I'll post a photo after I get the aerocatch in.
Still working on lots of other things with the money pit...
Just happy to have all four bolts in now.

Yep.
Closes with washers stacked.
Weird thing about that is I have the same amount of washers stacked on each side and the passenger side sits higher.
I need to level it out.

I refuse to take a picture of it in its current condition.
I got more excuse too, I'm sure.

Welp....

I got hood pins installed last year and I've been driving around all fall/winter with no issues or fear of the hood coming up on the highway.

One happy CF hood owner here
It was holding up fine with car washes, hot engine temps, very cold days..you name it

Then I see the hood with a crack running diagonal from mid passenger side all the way up about two feet toward the DS windshield
No idea how or why it happened, but it was fine until a few days ago

I emailed VIS some pics as kinda a WTF and they told me it can be fixed and shouldn't leak.
Sweet..So now I own a CF project

I'll be hunting yards for another OEM hood lol

Pics of the crack? I always thought a cf hood would be nice on my silver paint at some point down the road but after reading this thread that'll probably never happen
