Soon as I fix the muffler gasket. That ish sounds terrible under hard acceleration.

Glad to hear you stuck with the VQ30. Nearly 400k is very impressive. My brother purchased a 96 i30 with 200k miles. They had really good service records with mostly everything done at an Infiniti/Nissan dealer. My brother asked me if he should be concerned about the miles. I said nope as long as you take care of it.

Nice to hear your VQ lasted that long!
I have an 01 SE 20th Anniversary with 266K on it... I love my car to death and keep it looking brand new. Got it late in 03 with 80K on it which was already a lot of miles back then for an 01. Neighbors make fun of me cause I'm always wiping the car down or washing it. I dread the day something really bad happens and pray that I can get another 200K+ out of the engine like you did. Way to go!

Looks like I found the answer to my cold start rattle. My car is a '95 with 282k on it. If anybody in the Bay Area, CA has a desire to help me with this that would be awesome! I'm trying to decide if I am taking this car to FL with me at the end of the year but I want to fix this either way.
