Basically you have to decide what features you want. If you want just a "basic" radio, you can go with either single or double din. If you go for options, like navigation, back up camera, etc, you will be double din.

Because you are replacing a Bose, you will need to get a PAC ROEM NIS2 with whatever you go with. This is because the speakers Bose uses.

There are also other brands. Shop around for the best price

If you want to look at different radios from cheap to ridiculously expensive, go to crutchfield.com. If you want to do it yourself and don't really know how to do it, buy from Crutchfield. They have excellent support.

You may also want to read the Maxima.org audio forum, https://maxima.org/forums/audio-electronics-21/

What do you mean you have no choice? Isn't a perfectly legitimate choice to get an OEM replacement?

Upgraded to a $80 Walmart single din headunit long time ago (6~7 year ago), can play from MP3 disk, SD card and USB drive, pretty happy with it. I didn't have BOSE so it was very simple upgrade.

I just upgraded my 2002 bmw 540i with a 7" touch screen android head unit, comes with pretty much everything, DVD, GSP, USB, iPhone, auxiliary, blue tooth, essentially a tablet, you can install any apps you want, also installed rear view camera, much better than those proprietary head unit that you only have limited capability for apps.

If the radio/navi is made for the replacement market, it should. Go the crutchfield.com, enter you car make & model in and see if that radio will fit.
