Weird tail light issue.. 98 maxima

Hey guys, my girlfriend has a 98 maxima. I noticed that her far passenger tail light running light is not working.. I read in a thread it could be the sensor.. But it really doesn't make sense since only 1 running light isn't on. When you hit the brake pedal it still lights up so I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I plan to fix it myself, just haven't had the time to look at it yet. Any ideas??

Yes, my idea is to go look at.

sensor? wtf It's a light bulb.

Either the bulb is dead or someone put a 1156 where a 1157 belongs.

Thread moved to the proper forum

Not a rookie.. When the bulb in my 82 camaro goes out (that I built) it doesn't running light just doesn't stop working. It burns out all together lmao. I'm not all about new cars. I guess I'm stuck in the past or something.

Sensor in the taillight, huh? Nice. Those germans. Over-engineer everything. But then, which car is more reliable, the maxima or the jetta?

I hope the answer is my Jetta!! Lol I've seen these TDIs up to 500k and still going. Gotta love German diesels. Gotta hate German wiring. You do it their way or you don't do it at all
