'95 5-spd Maxima vs. 2002 Grand Prix GT
I'm getting verbal abuse from the guys at work about my co-worker's new Grand Prix GT. It's a beautiful car, but they believe it will eat my Maxima for breakfast. I'm fairly heavily modded now, and I feel they're just jerking my chain. I invited the whole bunch out to the track this Spring for a run or two. QUESTION: What size container of WHOOP A$$ should I take to the track with me? ::-):

I raced this guy last summer in a 2001 Grand Prix GT Coupe 4 times in one night. Twice off the line, and twice from a ~45KM/H roll. When we went off the line I would win by about 4+ cars (up to 110KM/H) and still pulling, and when we went from a roll I would destroy him even worse. BTW, I own a 1995 GXE auto and the only modification I had at the time was a PR CAI, I believe he was stock.

Even if it is supercharged you can beat him. AT a streetracing spot in NYC i raced one over there, becasue all the other cars didnt want to, they were to scared so i beat him 3out of 6 times. all depends how you shift your gears, i redlined first and second gear so just do that get all the power you need there, becasue this guys car was an automatic. Than he said that he didnt know maximas where that fast and i said they are just depends on the driver, so all the cars at the spot think im s/c. IN in all you can run him, especially you have the fastest 4th gen man go out and make some money. That same night i beat a Ford SHO 5 spd, hahahaha
Haha a grand prix GT. That car's lucky to run 15.7 on a cold day with a strong tailwind
If it really is a GT and not a GTP, bet him as much money as you have on the race. If someone wanted to race me in a stock grand prix GT, I would literally put up all the money I could get my hands on. Unless your car breaks there is no way you will lose.

Most of the guys with modified GTs at the GP Forum are in the mid to lower 15s. There's even some guys hitting 14.8-14.9s. Don't take these cars real lightly. If you don't get a strong launch, you could have some distance to make up. I've rented GTs for work and they are quite torquey. Only after 70mph does the acceleration drop off.

Costco, I raced my cousin from a roll of about 20mph and pulled a 1/2 on him right off and then pulled slowly until about 60. We were on the street so we had to shut it down. When I raced a Taurus 24V, I killed it worse than I killed the GP. At the start of this race I had 2 cars on it until 90 then I couldn't pull anymore.
