Grinding

I hear a grinding noise I think it's coming from the front, while it's on motion and ten times worse when I hit the brakes. Brakes are in good condition, I'm sure my rotors are bad but it's weird it happened after my car was sitting for about 2 weeks....also I think my brake system is bad because the last time a changed the brakes was a longgggggg time ago....any suggestions on grinding???

rotors rusty? if the car sat for 2 weeks and it rained, they probably have rust on them. go on the highway and do a few solid brakes and the rust should wear off

That doesn't sound like good condition to me. Make up your mind and get them fixed. Sounds like metal on metal to me. You will probably need pads and rotors. Might just be a rock stuck in the caliper too. Are you knowledgeable enough to check yourself?

Yea as a matter of fact they are rusty I'll give that a shot thanks...yes I'm mechanical enough to check, there is no rock, I know because I was in the process of changing my brakes because I thought that's what the grinding was coming from, and that's when I also realized they were in good shape, which is also weird because it's been almost 2-21/2 years since they've been changed and I got cheap ones lol
