need recommendations for a lightweight crank pulley

welp at 270,000 the oem pulley bearings starting wobbling real bad and started making noise. sure enough i popped the hood and the pulley was shaking and making noise. drove her home and she's parked until i get a new pulley. i looked at obx, i know there's a bunch out there. want something that'll last for a few years, got new belts already. looking to spend about 50-70.00, thanks

There's no bearings in the crank pulley and your best option is a stock replacement you can get new aftermarket brand that is just like the stock one on ebay or look in a junkyard......but as far as lightweight performance crank pulley I wouldn't go that way.....stay far away from those

so, what is making it wobble? and what's wrong with the light weight pulleys? spin too fast? overheat the engine?

Do you want a stock sized pulley or a smaller underdrive pulley? OEM is 2 piece with a rubber section that can separate.

I have a UR UDP and am happy with it.

looks like that part is still intact, someone said the tooth can come loose and cause the pulley to rattle/wobble.

It's wobbling because the rubber has deteriorated. I'd just get a new OEM style pulley and call it a day. It will outlast the car at this point.

What tooth?
The notch in the crank?
You can buy a new crank if you want.

Make sure you get a new o-ring for behind the pulley and stay away from OBX..crap design.
I recommend Dorman, around $100 off rockauto.
I wouldn't go used unless you have to financially.

Get a NEW Dorman Harmonic Balancer (Crankshaft Pulley) and be done with it. Lightweight??? Saving 2 pounds is worth how many times the price? LOL

While you're in there, replace the front crank seal and the belts too.

I call bs on these super cheap dorman finds.
I don't see how some are selling for so low and are what they say.
I'm assuming it's another brand and people haven't noticed...yet.

Separation of the elastromeric bonding that's manufactured between the inner core and the outer shell to act as a torsional shock absorber....a really bad oil leak can damage the elastomer...

2j racing

Hrmmm I'll sell my UR UDP for that much, other than that I'm keeping it.

On a real note I wonder if one can bolt the trigger ring to a 2j racing pulley.... I'll take a looksee....

I'm sure you will, but make sure you check it over and report back.

amazon's a little stricter with the sellers than ebay. kinda the reason i went with this guy, about 4 of the feedback are from maxima owners who said no problems with fitment and one guy said no problems 6 months later.

That feedback isn't necessarily for that seller.
Amazon sellers are really no different than ebay. I've sold on both.
Amazon it's usually easier to make a few more bucks/charge more than ebay because...Well, I've just found that to be true personally.
No idea what's going on with this guy as a seller.
You can check just his reviews IF anyone has left him one; sometimes that can help, but the main feedback you see is for any seller who has sold under that category.

I'm still suspicious.
