Clicking on sharp Turns, CV joints?

I am getting the clicking on sharp extreme turns. I know its a CV joint problem. What do you guys recommend, rebuild or new. If new, what are the best makers/brands?

Since they're clicking, it's too late to re-boot...I'd just buy the whole axle. Make sure you check whether you have LSD or not (only matters for the driver's side axle though).
I went with http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/c...chTerm=cv+axle
But I'm sure some people will go with something higher quality; at the time I needed something soon and I hadn't searched online (e.g. raxles.com). I have had no problems at all with the axle aside from having to put a large plastic zip tie on one side of a boot (which has worked perfect for the 15k miles its been on). It's hit or miss with these things but they do have a lifetime warranty.

I bought these:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aa...n/model/maxima

They seem to be working out just fine.

Thank you for the replies. I have to decide on new or rebuilt, but new prices seem reasonable. Thanks.

I paid $57 shipped for a NEW APWI axle from Rockauto. Installed over two years ago and still working great.

Thanks asand1. That's a good price. I looked at my boots and they aren't torn, but the clicking is there... only on severe right turns for now. I have to figure out if I want to do this or have my neighbor do it for me. He is an ASE certified Honda mechanic. If I get the parts, he will install them. Right now I don't have the time.

a strut bearing that looks like this can also mimic a bad CV axle

^^^
That would click while turning. Once the wheel stops turning, the clicking would stop. The CV would continue to click while turning with the steering wheel stopped.

Does that clicking noise happen when turning while pushing gas or even if you don't push the gas it still clicks?
