Help....'95 Maxima GXE or '92 Acura Legend LS?
I need help. Here's the deal:
I currently have a '92 Acura Legend LS...very nice. It (I guess I have never really named her, kinda sad), it has 151,000.....no real problems, probably needs another alignment, some reg. maintenance, blower (w/ AC sounds like leaves are in it - seems I need to just clean it out)...that's about it.
I am getting concerned w/ high miles and my father-in-law wanted to get a new car so he sold me his '95 Nissan Maxima GXE....no sunroof, no leather, it's suspension not tight like the Acura, but it has only 98,000 miles compared to 151k. I understand I probably should have held out for an SE model, but father-in-law had a GXE.
The purpose of this change was to get a reliable car with less miles for another year or two - until maybe a new care purchase - don't know, but, my quandary.......
Which car? Acura by very nice, but I'm worried about the miles over the next 50k or so, and I don't want to shell out many dollars for upkeep.....
With the Max, I'll need to upgrade suspension primarily.
They both are in my drive...so my indecision is REAL TIME!
Everyone's feedback would be GREATLY DESIRED!!

If your father did regular maintenance on the Maxima, it should definately last you another year or two.
You've already said that the Legend will need more regular maintenance, but the Maxima has less miles.
The Legend is a nice car but it kinda sounds like the Maxima the right choice: lower milage and less long term maintenance costs.

Thanks for the post...lower mileage and less long term maintence I'd agree with.
how long have you had the legend? If you know the cars history well enought i say just stick with it and sell the max and get some of you money back and put it towards that new car. No sense changing things if you are just using it for transport. Acuras are very good cars, my cousin has one and is it 236k right now so if you took care of the car i say keep it.

Mad Dhan, thanks all.
I have had the Acura 50k miles, works fine, the two owners before me took great care of the car so..., but you just never know...it seems no matter which way I go I'd be fine...w/ the Max, I'd be looking at some suspension upgrades, etc - there are positives to that but cost too.
I'll keep it posted.
