I am sick of car repair shops that dont repair

I go to have a water pump replaced, that gets done... next day i have an oil leak, they fix that for free- it was their fault. next day i start hearing a screaching noise, take it back, now they say i have a loose pulley bearing... installing y pipe tonight and was looking at the pulleys to see what the "bad bearing" was connected to. Heres what i find: a bolt 1/2 way out, didnt look too major so i tightened it up. Then i keep poking around and there are i think 4 pulleys and one weird "fake pulley" for lack of a better word. The fake pulley has a strange disc sitting inside of it, thats what the noise has been, its just some disc not seated at all, i can almost pull it out, its just been rattling all this time. This was so obvious, i touch it with my finger and it has a 1/4 inch play in all directions, very easy to see. Is it likely that they did this to bring me back in the shop? Does this happen to you guys?

I think everyone here's been a victim of shoddy service at one point or another. I know I have. Self-reliance is key, wherever possible.

Sounds like they don't know what they're doing!

Turbo95Max is the only person touching my car except for me and the place I change oil at, which also does a good job.
I've had it with repair shops.
