The next step in the project-Ride Performance/Maintaence
It would run a lot better without those mudflaps and that dated sunroof deflector...
Seriously though, you stated only like 5 times that it runs like new, yet you have some hesitation sometimes...that would be an oxymoron.
You've been here long enough to know what to do. Do a full tune-up.
Air filter
NGK sparkplugs
Fuel filter
PCV Valve
Drain and fill coolant
Drain and fill transmission (added bonus would be to drop the pan, clean sludge, replace filter/screen and magnets as necessary)
Clean the EGR, throttle body, back of IACV, spray the MAF with appropriate MAF cleaner, run a few bottles of fuel injector cleaner through the system.
If you really want to spoil your car, have your injectors serviced and new pintle caps installed.

By the way, since my alternator "may" be on its way out and my mechanic I know for 20years is going to replace it when it goes out... I may as well do the tune up while I'm at it...what parts can be used from autozone and what cannot? I heard hitachi parts from auto parts store are for nissans right?
Like for example air filters can be used from autozone and won't cause problems but let's say an autozone fuel filter will cause issues...or pcv valve..etc
So I want to know what can be done in the process, I found most of these items such as pcv valve can be bought from auto parts store but I just want to be extra cautious and make sure what I can use and what I cannot and if I have to get OEM, where would I get oem parts from?

Josh, this has been covered many times. Do a search. You will find much information available. There is no need to ask the same question and get the same answers.
Auto parts stores sell auto parts. Give them your business for day to day stuff.
Parts brands? Do some research.

He posted the spoon-fed reply for newbies that could do research, but wouldn't.

Suppose so, i do search for hours and some of the threads are not recent..so I only ask cause Im just personally cautious what I do.. I want to make sure I get it done right and avoid any mistakes as much as possible..that's how I continue to go the right path..
NGK coppers, any filter that fits, look in the stickies and how-toos for TB cleaning and all that jazz. How does any driving age person not do a freaking tune up before posting "my car runs like new, but hesitates and runs sh!tty"???
You might want to go back to school if your going create a title about "Ride Performance/Maintaence " and not ask about suspension.

Well the stuff I search, I just want to make sure it's correct, some of them don't leave after results..or the specific answer im looking for...so it leaves me questioning , again I'm just extra cautious about what I do. And yes I get confused at what I mean "feels like it runs new" but may actually not cause I cannot see it myself
This is my first car that I've actually worked on the most and learn how cars work.. My father was a drag racer in muscle cars winning many trophies but he's not around anymore so I gotta learn it from you all and myself, if he was around..heck I probably wouldn't be asking all these weird questions lol.. He knew how to install engines, superchargers, anything you could think of... So yes I am a newbie when it comes to this stuff but if he was around then I would of had an expert right next to me teaching me a lot quicker and be more confident in it and would tell me if my car actually runs "new" or needs a little work and cleaning

I get all my OEM parts from www.courtesyparts.com.
You cleared the problem by turning the ignition key 4 times?
What kind of magic do you suppose happened to do that?
Hint: ignition switch is going out. Instructions are provided in this forum and on youtube.
Please look up the information yourself. Don't be a daily nuisance.

Wizard, see post # 40 of this thread..
By my experience, a bad ignition switch can cause intermittent electical faults in addition to the more common failure to start.
I might have misread something?
Your opinion?
