Anyone know where I can find an ECU for a 3.5 manual??

Or can I use the ecu from my vq30 with a 3.5 swap on my 4th Gen. My timing jumped and bent the valves a little. As long as I'm putting a new engine in I'm thinking of doing another vq35 swap without megasquirt. I don't wanna have to swap all the nats crap with it. Thanks

Do some research on a full ECU swap. You may be getting in over your head.

Yes ive swapped a 3.5 in a 4th gen before but I used megasquirt as a standalone... Custome wiring harness and everything else. 5spd ecus are incredibly hard to find where I live. This is why I asked if I can use my current ecu with the 3.5 engine as a second question.

Search the classifieds the pop up all the time. But why go from megasquirt to a stock ECU?

It's all in the stickies man. Swap 3.0 sprockets and chains onto 3.5 and then run 3.0 ECU.

Yes, the 3.0 ECU can be used. Have a look in the All Motor forum in the stickies. Most 3.5 swaps around here are done using the 3.0 ECU.

Awesome. Thank you. This is what I wanted to know. And to answer a previous question... I want a stock ecu because I sold my max with a 3.5 swap and megasquirt. The 4th gen I have now is stock and the timing jumped and bent some valves. The car isn't running right anymore. So since I'm changing the engine I may as well swap it with something better.

I can't seem to find the all motor thread at the moment. If you know where I can read up on it could you please link me? Thanks

The 3.0 ecu has no control for the variable valve timing. It will not run a 3.5 in stock trim. You will need 3.0 timing components swapped on.
