wsp y-pipe installed today

Today, and part of yesterday evening i put my aluminized warpspeed y-pipe on my car. I am posting this to let those of you looking for a first performance upgrade to understand the y-pipe is the best mod for your buck. my new y-pipe fit perfect, no frame contact either. the car started up and smoke came out of the car's engine compartment(this is normal, it is from all the shi# you have to spray to loosen the bolts) after this i paid attention to the sound. it was a low frequency v-8 sound. i was impressed after the first drive with the mod, the car seems to pull alot harder, especially from 3k-5k. i have only noticed one thing that is ****ing me off.....i hear a rattle when i hit a certain speed, mostly on turns, i checked everything, and the pipe is not touching the frame. anyone else hear this weird rattle, it doesnt rattle much so i can live with it. i am recieving my warpspeed CAI any day know, cant wait.
i want to metion the bolts were a son-of-a-bitc# to get loose, i had to heat the ones on the flange connecting to the cat with a heat torch. but the job gets super easy once the stock pipe is off

How long did it take to get your pipe from the time you ordered it? I just ordered my AL steel pipe Wed. night. Good to hear everything worked out OK, does it have enough movement in it to maybe bang up against something when you turn sharply or go over a bump? I.E. does it take a lot of force to move it back & forth or up & down?

Check the heat shield. It happen to me, the heat shield for the
cat., and the b-pipe. Get under the car and bang the exhaust upward.
If you hear any contact sound, that is your problem. Get a long
screwdriver or crowbar and bend the heat shield out of the way.
Hope this helps.

Besides the price, the more expensive one will last alot longer, depending on where you live and weather..

I had a similar issue too, there was a small heatshield that normally didn't touch the y-pipe, but was close enough that they rubbed when the car was running.

The WSP aluminized y-pipes have a 4 year warranty I believe, not sure about the stainless steel models.

I have a warspeed Y in my 97se auto and I can say that it was HARD AS H*LL to get off. Of cource my car is fairly low and all we had were jackstands and basic tools... oh yeah, It was like 12am and 40 degrees out. Other than that it was a breeze. The new pipe went on perfect and no bangging or other noises i hear people speaking of. I love the thing.

i just got my compression bent WSP pipe....for the money savings its nice...the bends are smooth with no wrinkling and the pipe is not out of round much. the mandrel bent is a few bucks more...but its all your reason for buying it...is it an upgrade or are you replacing a rusted out stock unit? dallas has a 4 year warranty...304 will live forever, 409 is what the OEM stuff is.
