Swap 3.0L DOHC for 3.5L EcoBoost
#2
Not worth the time or money especially consider current options for swapping and or building the 3.0 that is in the car. To top it off the VQ35 is a motor that has far better aftermarket support currently. You can try it but it will honestly come up to around 2000 to get the motor, another 1000 for the transmission just roughly estimating. Not even getting into electronics. The type of VQ35 you could build for that kind of money, its honestly not worth the money at this point. Maybe one day when the motors become cheap but i cannot see it being more cost effective then the options we already have available.
Anything is possible with enough money. If you have your heart set on it just because you love Ford then do it. But in all honesty if you want the motor that bad why not buy a Fox body and put the motor in it vs the noddle chassis maxima. Otherwise if your just looking for increased performance what is already in between those strut towers has a lot of potential, it will hold around 450hp stock block without much issue just careful with the OEM transmission. But again we have options available for that aswell, search it will be your friend.
