Brake Lights Not Working
Hey all - suddently my braake lights are not working at all. All other lights are working as normal. Changes bulbs (no change) and checked driver side fuse (good) with no luck.
I am thinking maybe the ignition switch.. for about the last 2 months when i use my auto car start - put the key into the ignition and turn to on i can still remove the key without ther car turning off - have to use my remote to turn the car off on short trips. Longer trips >10 mins the car will recognize the key and lock the doors and the security light will stop flashing. Brake lights still do not work though, so maybe not.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The brake lights are completely separate from the ignition switch, so don't waste your time with the ignition switch.
The brake light circuit is very basic and simple: battery => fuse # 10 => brake light switch => light bulbs => chassis ground.
So either the brake light switch is bad or you have a broken wire or your auto start system is screwing up.
I place my bet on the auto start system screwing up.

Before you replace the brake switch, you may want to check the connector M15 next to brake switch or the sub-harness M4/B1 little down from the brake switch connector. M4/B1 is probably behind the driver's left kickplate based on the image. It could be loose. If your fuse is burnt again, it indicates a short within that stop lamp circuit.
